Its name draws from a poem by Su Shi, and its columns bear a celebrated palindromic couplet from the Republican era, composed by Huang Wenzhong, that captures the ever-changing moods of the lake in both sunshine and rain. This mini wood architecture model faithfully recreates the renowned pavilion in its highly representative single-eaved roof form, built entirely through authentic mortise and tenon joints. The 3D wooden building puzzles comprise approximately 65 precision-crafted components across 20 distinct part types, each piece engineered to fit together without adhesive or hardware. Assembly follows the same structural logic that has governed Chinese timber-frame construction for centuries, making the building process as meaningful as the finished piece. A built-in LED light source recreates the quiet luminance of the pavilion at dusk, casting a warm glow that transforms the model into an ambient display piece.
