Yunnan’s beauty extends beyond its cotton candy-like clouds and the subtle sweetness in the air. It offers the serene elegance and open-minded tranquility sought by those accustomed to the dazzling urban life. In Baisha Ancient Town, the smooth and delicious Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodles tantalize visitors’ taste buds. Sunlight intertwines with scattered willow catkins creating a dreamlike atmosphere. A friend remarked that my photos exude a sense of freedom, reminiscent of the prayer flags fluttering between the buildings on both sides – simple, pure, and transcendent. The ancient tables and chairs with lamps in the old town, surrounded by twinkling decorations, provide respite for weary travelers. They seem to freeze time, witnessing countless scenes unfolding before them.

Blue Moon Valley’s crystal-clear, vast pools shimmer under sunlight, seemingly harboring endless stories and treasures of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The waters of Yuye Lake, Jingtan Lake, Blue Moon Lake, and Tingtao Lake, though slightly different in color, appear stunningly azure and clear from an aerial view.

Spruce Plateau and Blue Moon Valley are neighboring attractions, with the former at a higher elevation. The dense vegetation along the wooden walkways exemplifies Yunnan’s biodiversity. Passing through the thick forest, startling low-flying birds, feels like traversing millennia. The spruces there stand tall and elegant, solemn yet passionate, whispering nature’s secrets to every passerby. The guide claimed the air’s negative ion content is unparalleled, inviting visitors to indulge in deep breaths of pure air – a spa treatment for the lungs.
