Wenlan Pavilion Cultural Plaque Creative Refrigerator Magnet – Hangzhou Tourist Souvenir
$12.0
Wenlan Pavilion, located within the Gushan Branch of Zhejiang Provincial Museum, is one of the Qing Dynasty’s imperial libraries built during Emperor Qianlong’s reign. As the sole surviving structure among the historic Three Jiangnan Pavilions, it once safeguarded the monumental Complete Library of the Four Treasuries (Siku Quanshu). This magnet recreates the pavilion’s iconic plaque, meticulously hand-painted by artisans, with slight variations inherent to handcraftsmanship—a testament to its artisanal authenticity.
Zhejiang Provincial Museum:
Founded in 1929 as the Zhejiang West Lake Museum following the inaugural Hangzhou West Lake Expo, the institution was renamed Zhejiang Provincial Museum in 1976. In 2006, the Zhejiang Revolutionary History Memorial Hall was incorporated into its administration. By 2009, the Wulin Branch (including the Revolutionary History Memorial Hall) opened to the public. Over nine decades, the museum has evolved into Zhejiang’s largest comprehensive human sciences institution, encompassing the Gushan Branch, Wulin Branch, Sha Menghai Former Residence, the Huang Binhong Memorial Hall, and Gudang Cultural Relics Protection and Research Base. Its mission spans collection, research, preservation, exhibition, and education.
