Rooted in the legend of Hou Yi’s metamorphosis into a jade rabbit to reunite with Chang’e and fired at 1300°C in Jingdezhen’s kilns, each pair of porcelain bunny rabbits is a tribute to ‘lovers united.’ The plump, rounded forms, soft to the touch and free of sharp edges, symbolise harmony, while downward-tilted ears and gilding with non-toxic gold that highlights delicate contours of the inner ears reflect devotion to detail.

Even the circular air vents at the base are hand-finished with O-shaped sponges for flawless unity with the overall design. Displayed together, the rabbits evoke companionship day and night, with the lustrous gold accents shimmering like moonlight.

Artisan Imperfections: Slight variations in glaze texture or micro-pores attest to their handmade, kiln-fired origins.
